On June 15, the Science and Technology Bureau of Huangpu District, Guangzhou, announced that Lupeng Pharmaceutical is one of the four companies that are recognized as “Potential Unicorn Enterprises in 2020” in Huangpu District and GDD.

It is reported that cultivating a cluster of unicorn enterprises and potential unicorn enterprises that are featured with "explosive growth, significant innovation” is an effective measure to align with the national innovation driven development strategy and the development concept in Huangpu District and GDD, which includes improving the entrepreneurial innovation ecology, enhancing entrepreneurial energy, developing new economy and promoting the regional competitiveness. It is also a strategic goal of promoting Huangpu District and GDD to further build the core hub of innovation center and a world-class high-tech park in the Greater Bay Area.

It is noted that “unicorn” is a symbol of high-growth and high-value enterprises in the new economy, and the benchmark of technology-based enterprises. Unicorn candidates are believed to be of more development and growth potential, and are the pioneers of innovative industry.
